Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 20, 2026
Groomly("we," "us," "our") provides scheduling and customer-management software for pet grooming businesses. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
What we collect
- Account info from groomers: business name, email, phone, password (hashed with bcrypt, never stored in plain text).
- Business data you enter: customer names + contact details, pet profiles (name, breed, behavior notes, gate codes), appointments, rules, payment history.
- Usage data: standard server logs (IP, user agent, pages visited) for security and debugging. Retained 90 days.
- Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers. We retain only the Stripe customer and subscription IDs to manage your billing.
How we use it
- To operate the service (schedule appointments, send SMS reminders, process payments).
- To send transactional emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset, billing).
- To respond to support requests.
- To detect and prevent abuse.
We never sell your data. We do not use your business's customer list to market to those customers ourselves.
Who sees it
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Twilio — SMS delivery (only the customer phone number + message body).
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Vercel — hosting infrastructure.
We share nothing else with third parties unless required by law (and we will notify you when legally allowed).
Your rights
You can at any time:
- Export all your data (customers, pets, appointments, rules) as CSV.
- Delete your account and all associated data.
- Ask what we have on you and request corrections.
Email privacy@getgroomly.com for any of these. We respond within 7 business days.
Children
The service is for adult business owners. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
We'll email you about material changes to this policy at least 14 days before they take effect.
